Pterocarpus marsupialis extract contains flavonoids C-glycosides, benzofuran,
D-glucanopyrside, hydroxybenzylidene, hydroxybenzyl, glucopyranoside, as well
as stilbene, pterostilbene and kahetine-epicatechin. It has tonic, astringent,
antiseptic, anti-inflammatory properties. It is used to balance blood sugar
levels and normalize metabolism.
Bilberry leaves
contain up to 20% tannins, flavonoids, vitamin C, a small amount of essential
oil. The main effect is anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic. Decoctions of
blueberries reduce sugar levels.
The root of common
burdock contains about 40% inulin, the so-called invert sugar, which is
hydrolyzed in an acidic environment, turning into fructose. Burdock is second
only to Jerusalem artichoke in inulin. The substances that make up burdock
roots have a pronounced antimicrobial activity. Burdock fruits secrete a
specific lactone that is able to tone the heart muscle. Water extracts from its
roots have diuretic properties.
Rosehip fruits have a
powerful bactericidal effect, as well as phytoncide and anti-inflammatory
properties. Due to the extremely high content of vitamin C, rosehip fruits are
used for various diseases, vitamin deficiencies, hypovitaminosis associated with
a lack of this vitamin. Capillaries and small blood vessels are strengthened,
the body's defenses are mobilized in the fight against various infections. Due
to the high content of vitamins P and K, rosehip has a positive effect on the
circulatory system, accelerates wound healing.
Jerusalem artichoke
extract. Jerusalem artichoke tubers contain up to 3% protein, mineral salts,
20.0% carbohydrates, which include the soluble polysaccharide inulin (16-18%),
fructose, trace elements, 2-4% nitrogenous substances, but they almost do not contain
starch. They are quite rich in vitamin B1 (aneurin), contain vitamin C and
carotene. The protein contains the amino acids lysine, histidine, arginine,
tryptophan, threonine. Jerusalem artichoke contains a complex of fructans,
various types of pectin, compounds with antioxidant properties (chlorogenic,
neochlorogenic, succinic, caffeic acids, etc.), carotenoids, cellulose, macro-
and microelements, vitamins, as well as valuable metabolites for metabolism. A
feature of Jerusalem artichoke tubers is the presence of inulin in the
composition of carbohydrates. The most valuable property of inulin is its
ability to be broken down in the human body to form fructose, which is sweeter
than sugar, but less caloric, and most importantly, when absorbed by the body,
it does not stimulate insulin secretion and does not lead to wear of the
pancreas. In addition, inulin is known as a biogenic factor that promotes the
growth of natural intestinal microflora. The use of inulin helps to normalize
intestinal activity (eliminate constipation) and reduce the content of lipids
and cholesterol in the blood. The use of Jerusalem artichoke is indicated for
anemia, hypertension, arrhythmia, circulatory disorders.
Oat grains contain up
to 60 percent starch, 5-8 percent fat, 10-18 percent protein, essential oils,
vitamins: B1, B2, B6. Oats contain potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron,
chromium, manganese, zinc, nickel, fluorine, iodine and other trace elements. Oat
starch provides the body with energy, helps to avoid a sharp increase in blood
sugar levels. Oat protein is necessary for tissue growth and repair. Soluble
fiber, with regular consumption, reduces blood cholesterol levels, protecting
the cardiovascular system. Vitamins and minerals are involved in important
metabolic processes and reduce the risk of various diseases. Oats are very
important for the metabolism of nervous tissue and blood, hair and nails,
cartilage and bones. It improves the functioning of the liver and pancreas, and
promotes the absorption of fat in the intestines.
